Industrialists want entrance to industrial estate opened

PESHAWAR: The Industrialists Association Peshawar (IAP) has called for opening the main entrance to the Hayatabad Industrial Estate to facilitate industrial transportation and operations.

The demand was made when the association’s office-bearers met Peshawar Development Authority Director-General Khalid Mehmood on Friday and took up the issue with him.President of IAP Ayub Zakori, senior vice-president Haris Mufti, group leader Ghazanfar Bilour and other members attended the meeting.

Ayub Zakori explained the problems of the industrialists due to the road blockade and said that the issue should be addressed as soon as possible.The press release said the PDA chief agreed to open the road for small vehicles and committed to discussing the restoration of the way for heavy transportation with higher authorities.

He added that the Karkhano entrance would also be repaired to ensure the easy flow of heavy vehicles.It was agreed that the IAP would be included in discussions related to any issues affecting the industrial estate.
