955 more illegal gas connections severed
The SSGC continued to conduct raids on gas theft miscreants in its franchise areas of Sindh and Balochistan. In fresh raids, 955 illegal connections were removed in residential areas by the Company’s anti-gas theft teams.
In Karachi, 755 illegal connections were removed in raids conducted in the residential areas of Liaquatabad, Gulshan-e-Maymar and Ramaswami where people had extended illegal gas arrangements through direct the SSGC line. Service lines were removed and theft claims are being raised accordingly.
In Balochistan, SSGC’s theft control teams removed 185 illegal connections from the residential areas in Quetta, Pishin and Kalat. In addition, three fake meters were also removed during the operations. Theft claims are also being raised accordingly.
More raids on overhead and underground connections were conducted by SSGC teams in Nawabshah and Larkana regions and summarily 15 connections were dismantled. Theft clamps and rubber pipes used in theft were removed and claims are being raised.
