Flood relief camps planned

LAHORE: An important meeting regarding monsoon rains was held under the chairmanship of DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia.
Wasa officials from Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Multan participated in the meeting. Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan DCs participated through a video link.
Briefing was given on the establishment of relief camp and evacuation plan in view of possible flood situation. PDMA DG directed the administration to ensure cleanliness of drains. He said that the encroachments in the drains should be eliminated. He ordered completing de-silting of Rawalpindi Nala Lai soon.
