‘Flour price to surge after increase in fixed electricity charges’
Industrial sector is already suffering from rising cost of production and such measures will ruin the growth of various sectors of economy

LAHORE:Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) expressed concern over the recent increase in fixed charges for industrial electricity consumers.
The increase in fixed electricity charges would increase the production cost of 20kg flour bag by Rs50 to Rs100, warned Pakistan Flour Mills Association here Wednesday. The industrial sector is already suffering from rising cost of production and such measures will ruin the growth of various sectors of economy.
‘We reject this increase and demand the government withdraw the increase in fixed charges immediately and restore the old rate,’ association demanded.
