Ahsan reposts Vlog: Cases against Ahsan, Miftah, Abbasi baseless, says Shahzad Akbar
Ahsan wrote that they put him into jail, did his character assassination and gave mental torture
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiative Ahsan Iqbal on Monday reposted a Vlog on “X” of an interview of former adviser to PM on accountability, Shahzad Akbar, in which Akbar admitted that cases against Ahsan Iqbal, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismael were fabricated.
In the Vlog, Akbar, who was accountability czar in the government of Imran Khan, said that in every meeting, he used to say that there was nothing in the cases of Abbasi and Ismael and these cases had no solid evidence and even the case against Ahsan was baseless.
Ahsan wrote that they put him into jail, did his character assassination and gave mental torture but he did not feel sorry for himself as he was acquitted with honour and everyone called a lie a lie. The Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Centre of Excellence of Basic Sciences project was destroyed and this would have to be accounted for.
