Journalists asked to submit forms for NPC membership
NOWSHERA: The cabinet and governing body of the Nowshera Press Club once again asked the journalists to submit forms for membership to decide their cases as per the recent verdict of the Peshawar High Court.
The meeting t was held with its president Mushtaq Paracha in the chair on Saturday. All the cabinet members attended the meeting. The participants thoroughly discussed matters related to the NPC constitution, registration and membership
The PHC had recently disposed of a petition about the NPC constitution, registration and membership. The two-member bench comprising Justice Muhammad Attique Shah and Justice Shakil Ahmed had heard the petition filed by Tafheemur Rehman and others.
The court had directed the petitioner to ask the 11 aspirants to apply for the NPC membership as per the constitution. It also directed the NPC President Mushtaq Paracha to complete the scrutiny of the membership, and convene governing and general bodies meetings within one month to process the applications.
