H-8 college shines in sports competition
Islamabad: The Islamabad Postgraduate Model College for H-8/4 has stood out from the city’s other educational institutions in the inter-collegiate and inter-university games 2016 by clinching 10 medals altogether.
The events were separately organised by the Quaid-i-Azam University, Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education and Federal Directorate of Education.
In the inter-collegiate tournament organised by the FBISE, the Islamabad Postgraduate Model College for H-8/4 clinched second position in the volleyball competition and third in athletics competition, while in the games held by the FDE, the college’s team got third position.
In the games organised by the QAU, the H-8/4 College got gold medal in cricket, kabaddi, badminton and football competitions by securing first position and bronze medal in the table tennis contest by standing third.
The college administration credited Professor Tahir Bhatti, the head of the physical education department, for the accomplishment.
