MARDAN: On the initiative of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, a free medical camp was organised for prisoners in Mardan Central Jail.

The event saw participation from Medical Superintendent (MS) of District Headquarters Hospital Mardan Dr Javed Iqbal, Director of Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) Dr Tariq Mehmood, and 20 other specialist doctors, both male and female.
Approximately 1,200 male and female inmates were examined and diagnosed by specialist doctors, and provided medicines free of charge. Besides doctors, paramedical staff also assisted the incarcerated patients throughout the process.
MPA Iftikhar Ali Mashwani personally observed all stages of the camp, including the examination of patients and the supply of medicines, and expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements.
Speaking on the occasion, Mashwani emphasised on the responsibility of the state and its institutions to provide security, health, education, and other facilities to prisoners.
