PR produces wagons indigenously

LAHORE : Pakistan Railways (PR) has indigenously produced wagons of international standards for freight vehicles.

Using Chinese technology, these wagons feature a modern design, enabling the transport of containers efficiently. 

During the inauguration at Lahore Cantt Railway Station, Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Railways Aamir Ali Baloch emphasised that local production marks a significant step towards self-reliance for the department. He highlighted that previously, the low speed of freight vehicles prolonged the transportation of commercial goods.
