Cylinder blast
At least 12 people perished in a LPG cylinders blast in Hyderabad last week. More such tragedies are bound to happen as each locality in Sindh has multiple LPG filling shops running without any safety measures. These LPG cylinders can be like live bombs, which are now found in almost each and every home due to the shortage of natural gas. The filling stations running without licenses are now being closed but what about the licensed ones. Who issued them a license to operate in crowded neighbourhoods and in multi-storey buildings, risking life and property? Another side of this sorry state of affairs is the employing of underage children in filling stations. May someone please rise to the occasion and take the proper measures needed to avoid such horrible accidents in future.
