PIMA demands recovery of missing paediatrician
Islamabad: Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) has expressed deep concern over the sudden disappearance of renowned paediatrician Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir Chaudhry, calling on the authorities to ensure his immediate recovery.
In a joint statement on Friday, PIMA Central President Dr. Abdul Aziz Memon and General Secretary Dr. Iftikhar Burney stated that in the afternoon of May 29, Dr. Muhammad Tahir was taken away by some unknown individuals from his clinic in Rawalpindi, and there has been no information about him till now. They said that this incident has caused a wave of distress within the medical community, leaving doctors and healthcare workers deeply worried.
They added that Dr. Muhammad Tahir is a well-known paediatrician in the country and heads the Paediatrics Department at a local medical college. He is highly regarded among doctors and patients alike for his excellent behaviour and conduct. The sudden disappearance of such a personality is extremely disturbing and alarming.
