GDA, JUI-F agree on joint struggle for democracy
Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) chief Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi, popularly known as Pir Sahib Pagara, met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at Raja House in Karachi on Tuesday. They discussed the general political scenario in the country.
According to a brief statement issued by GDA Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim, both leaders resolved to wage a joint struggle for the sake of democratic dispensation in the country and serve the interests of Pakistan in the best possible manner. Their meeting discussed the current situation in the country, particularly the evolving political scenario in Sindh.
The meeting was attended by the GDA’s Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashdi, Dr Safdar Abbasi, Syed Rashid Shah Rashdi, Sardar Abdul Rahim and Irfanullah Khan Marwat, and other political leaders. The GDA did not share any other details of the meeting with the media.
