PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nanbais Association on Monday rejected the government rate list for selling roti.
Speaking at a press conference, the association’s provincial president Iqbal Paindakhel said that the government should have provided them an opportunity to explain their point of view before issuing the rate list.
He said they were not getting flour in KP and were using the flour brought from Punjab where the same rates were implemented. He added that the flour rates had lowered but the gas and electricity prices had gone up. Iqbal Paindakhel said that in several areas the nanbais were using LPG and were paying very high rent for their tandoors.
He was a member of the National Assembly on PPP’s ticket from District Umerkot
