LAHORE: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has written his name in the history books, by becoming the second-highest run scorer in T20 Internationals. This achievement came during the second T20I match against England at Edgbaston.
While his knock of 32 runs from 26 balls at a strike rate of 123.08 wasn’t his most explosive, it was enough to secure him the coveted second place. Despite his efforts, Pakistan fell short of the target set by England.
Babar’s current tally stands at 3987 runs at a strike rate of 129.91, achieved in just 118 matches and 111 innings. This surpasses Rohit Sharma’s record of 3974 runs at a strike rate of 139.97, accumulated over 151 matches and 143 innings.
