Manat upsets favourites to claim Fan Tan Cup at LRC

LAHORE: The Lahore Race Club’s winter meeting concluded with several surprising results, most notably Manat’s unexpected victory in the featured race, the Fan Tan Cup. Manat, expected to finish second, surged to win the Fan Tan Cup. Royal Salute also surprised by grabbing the second position. Brooklyn, a longshot, secured a surprising third-place finish.

However, there were mixed outcomes in other races, as Tatla Choice, the favourite, won the opening race, with Capital City and Tango To Fire producing surprise finishes in second and third place, respectively. Absolutely Not lived up to its billing by winning the second race. Imran Choice came in second place unexpectedly, while Moonlight’s third-place finish was also a surprise.

Maxi Macs secured a narrow and unexpected victory in the third race. Farhan Prince’s second-place finish was surprising, while the favourite, Phantom, had to settle for third. Wynx, ridden by Bilal Ahmed, secured a comfortable win in the fifth race as expected. Kuwait Edition, a longshot, finished second, while Jack’s third-place finish was another surprise.
