FIR against lawyer: KP Bar Council members to boycott courts

PESHAWAR: The members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council will not appear before the courts today (Tuesday) in protest against the registration of the first information report (FIR) against Ali Zaman Advocate.
In a statement, KP Bar Council Vice-Chairman Sadiq Ali Mohmand said that the registration of the FIR against Ali Zaman Advocate was against the law and the constitution. He said that all the members of the bar council stood by Ali Zaman Advocate, asking the provincial government to quash the case against him. He said that no lawyer would take part in the court proceedings today.
