Mansehra police to launch operation against land mafia: official
MANSEHRA: Police have decided to launch an operation against land grabbers in the district, stated District Police Officer Safiullah Gandapur here on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters, Safiullah Gandapur said: “I have come across such cases where influential land grabbers have occupied houses, plots and lands of marginalised segments of society. I warn them to vacate such properties and hand them over to their owners within a week or get ready to face action.”
He said the crackdown against narcotics peddlers launched just after his posting was also underway as their history sheets with photos were displayed at various thoroughfares and prominent places.
“The victims of land grabbers should file sample applications to the cell constituted at my office for this purpose,” he said. The DPO said that he was personally leading the crackdown, and would also punish the police personnel found supporting land grabbers.
