‘Construction of sports ground by private sector a welcome sign’
LAHORE : Construction of sports ground by private sector is definitely a welcome sign. Sports culture is being promoted in all cities of the province. Punjab Youth Affairs Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar said this while talking to media at the inauguration of floodlit cricket ground in Etihad Town on Saturday. An exhibition cricket match was also played on this occasion.
Provincial minister said that the town administration should open the grounds for public so that the youth of all age groups should take part in healthy activities to the maximum. “New stadiums and grounds are being built and modern sports facilities are being provided in far-flung areas of the province”.
He further said that other private institutions should also allocate their grounds for the people. “Such institutions will be fully supported. The Punjab government is working hard for the development of sports projects”.
