Minister chairs FJMU’s syndicate meeting
LAHORE: The 37th syndicate meeting of Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique.
Additional Secretaries Zahida Azhar and Dr Sidra from Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Prof Shireen Khawar, Registrar Prof Nadeem, Prof Shamsa Humayun, Prof Balqis Shabbir, MS Gangaram Hospital Dr Hafiz Moin ud din, Principal College of Nursing and Midwifery Zamrad and Syed Farrukh Ali Shah were present in the meeting.
Representatives of Finance, Higher Education, Law and other officers also participated in the meeting as syndicate members. The minister endorsed the decisions of the 36th syndicate meeting of the varsity. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal also highlighted the efforts of the varsity with reference to Green Pakistan project. During the syndicate meeting, Punjab Thalassemia and Genetic Disorders Prevention Institute was allowed to tender for purchase of chemicals for DNA and Hematology Lab. During the Syndicate meeting, Curriculum for the BS Midwifery four-year degree program me was approved.
