184,882 books sold at PU fair

LAHORE
As many as 184,882 books were sold during three days of Punjab University’s book fair setting a new record of the largest sale in the book fair.
Last year, around 167,000 books were sold in the book fair. PU Vice-Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran said the largest sale of books in such a hot weather reflected that if books were provided on discounted price, book reading culture could be promoted in our society. He lauded the efforts of book fair management committees and security officials for organising the book fair successfully. Meanwhile, PU Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology’s Director Prof Dr Amir Ijaz has been selected for an award from Institute of Engineers of Pakistan on best performance.
