Road Safety Week begins

LAHORE:Lahore Traffic Police started Road Safety Week from Mall Road Faisal Chowk to raise traffic awareness among people.

SP Sohail Fazil, DSP Cantt Farrukh Raees and school students attended the event. The children gave pamphlets, flowers and chocolates to citizens in different squares of the Mall. The CTO Lahore distributed helmets and free side-mirrors to citizens for lane line awareness.

On the occasion, the CTO said traffic education, enforcement and road engineering are three important components of traffic. The CTO said cars and motorcycles of underage drivers would be impounded. The CTO said drivers cannot drive on a learner permit, driving with a learner permit will be fined Rs 2,000.
