HARIPUR: A three-storey building was demolished during anti-encroachment campaign in Shah Mohammad village here on Saturday.
The police said that on a complaint that one Zahoor Shah had encroached on the land of a state-run primary school and built a three-storey residential building unlawfully, the authorities probed the matter and issued a notice to him.
However, after expiry of deadline, the additional assistant commissioner-I along with workers of education department, anti-encroachment squad and police razed the building with the help of heavy machinery. The reclaimed land was later handed over to the education department.
