MULTAN: The Multan Election Tribunal started hearing election petitions of failed candidates of election 2024 on Thursday. The Election Tribunal headed by Mr Justice Sarfraz Dogar heard 15 different appeals, petitioners’ counsels said.
The tribunal raised objections for not submitting certified copies of Form 47 on 10 appeals. The Election Tribunal has given 15-day time to the candidates to remove their objections. The Tribunal also raised objections to the appeal of Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s daughter Mehrabano Qureshi.
The Tribunal also objected to the application of Muhammad Akhtar, Sardar Atif Dreshk, Mirza Ahmad Shahzad, Rai Mansab Ali, Waheed Asghar Dogar, and Ahmed Nawaz. The Tribunal issued orders to issue notices to the parties on five appeals.
The Tribunal also issued orders to issue notices on 5 appeals including Saeed Akbar Khan, Malik Ahmed Ali Aulakh, and Mehr Ejaz Achalana. The parties were ordered to be summoned on May 9 through newspaper advertisements and summon notices.
