RAWALPINDI: Former commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta, who was accused of rigging in general elections 2024 and was still hiding after his statement, appeared in the court on Monday.
The former commissioner Rawalpindi has submitted the lawyer’s letter and his answer in the court. The court on the date ordered to find Liaquat Ali Chatta and produce in the court and on the response the ex-Commissioner Rawalpindi was produced in the court.
He explained the position that an inquiry is going on against him in the Election Commission of Pakistan, while a departmental inquiry is also being conducted regarding the press conference in which he is appearing.
On this the court has adjourned the hearing till April 20 and asked for arguments from the lawyers in the case. Rawalpindi Bar lawyers have filed a 22A application to register a case against the former commissioner.
