4 drown in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: Four children are feared to have drowned while swimming in rivers in the limits of Charsadda district, officials said on Friday.
It was learnt that six Afghan children belonging to Badakhshan province of Afghanistan were swimming in a river in Charsadda when three of them drowned. The local divers rescued three of them while efforts were underway to recover the bodies of the three drowned children.
In another related development, a 16-year-old boy drowned while swimming in a river in the district. Deputy Commissioner Adnan Fareed Afridi and the district police officer monitored the rescue operation.
