PESHAWAR: An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was martyred in a late night attack in Sheikh Muhammadi in the limits of Badaber Police Station on Monday.
An official said ASI Maroof Shah sustained critical bullet injuries when attacked by armed men in the limits of the police station.
The cop was rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Kashif Zulfiqar confirmed the martyrdom of police officer in attack.
