PESHAWAR: Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism, Culture, Archeology & Museums, Zahid Chanzeb, has canceled holidays for tourism police officers and staff posted in tourist areas during Eid-ul-Fitr, aiming to enhance tourist services.
In a meeting regarding Eidul Fitr tourism arrangements, Chanzeb directed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), Tourism Facilitation Centers (TFCs), and Tourism Police to provide comprehensive facilities to tourists.
He said that under the directives of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the provincial government would ensure all possible facilities for tourists during Eidul Fitr days, allowing them to visit the province’s scenic locations without apprehension.
Regional tourism authorities have been instructed to facilitate tourists, with Tourism Police and Rescue 1122 personnel ensuring smooth traffic flow at tourist spots. Additionally, tourists can utilise the Tourism Helpline 1422 for route information and assistance.Moreover, TFCs across KP, including Chitral, Kaghan, Nathiagali, Abbottabad, and Dir, will remain operational, ensuring tourists’ comfort and safety. Inspectors of the Tourist Services Wing (TSW) will monitor hotel fares and quality. To celebrate Eid, a train safari from Peshawar to Takhtbhai will be arranged on April 13.
Helpline and guidance signboards will be installed at tourist spots, and control rooms will be established for timely assistance to tourists facing difficulties.
