On March 22 the Supreme Court set aside the dismissal of former IHC senior judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and observed that there was a failure to abide by the fundamental right of due process which resulted in the former justice being treated unfairly.
The right to a fair trial is one of the basic rights guaranteed by the constitution. No one should or, legally speaking, can be condemned unheard. It is the duty of the court that hears a case to give a fair and full hearing to the parties without any discrimination.
