LAHORE
Member of Punjab Assembly Azma Bukhari has said those who misbehaved with women in PTI public meeting will be taken to task and she will herself follow the case.
Addressing a press conference at DGPR, Azma Bukhari said women have proved their mettle in the politics of Pakistan. She said women assembly members of Muslim League have played a commendable role from the creation of Pakistan to its progress. She said unfortunately, the incidents of misbehaviour with women in public meetings of PTI have increased.
She said that worst behaviour of PTI workers with a prominent anchor of media has still not been forgotten. Azma Bukhari said PTI leaders did not bother to condemn this indecent attitude to women. She said Imran Khan is using women political workers as a showpiece. She said Amnesty International, Germany and other countries have inquired on phone about these incidents. Is this change which PTI is promising, she questioned.
She said a political leader not only delivers speeches but also trains his workers but Imran Khan has failed in both. She said justice will be ensured to the aggrieved. Azma Bukhari said she salutes lady police officer for registering a case.
She said video footage is being sent for identification through Nadra record. She said that people were dying in public meeting of Multan but announcements were being made to remain silent as Imran Khan was delivering a speech. She said that the number of women participants in PTI public meetings is decreasing. She said that the Punjab government is standing with distressed women.
