Non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Gandapur, Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: The district and sessions court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the case filed against PTI’s Azadi March, and acquitted Faisal Javed Khan and Ali Nawaz Awan over lack of evidence against them.

In the written ruling during the hearing of the case filed in the Koral police station, the court of Judicial Magistrate Naveed Khan said that non-bailable warrants were issued for Ali Amin Gandapur and Shah Mahmood Qureshi for their continued non-appearance despite the summons. It said that Faisal Javed Khan and Ali Nawaz Awan were acquitted due to lack of evidence. The court fixed rehearing of the case for May 20.
