Call for restoration of X-ray services at Bajaur hospital

KHAR: The X-ray machine at the district headquarters in Khar has remained non-operational for the past three months, significantly impacting the local community’s access to essential healthcare services.

With soaring poverty rates, many residents are unable to afford private X-ray services, exacerbating the healthcare challenges already prevalent in the region.Human rights activist Habibul Hassan Yad has voiced a strong demand for urgent intervention by the health department to promptly rectify and restore the functionality of the X-ray machine at the district hospital.

Emphasising that health is a basic human right, Habibul Hassan stressed the government’s responsibility to enhance the capacity of all hospitals within the district.The non-functional state of the X-ray machine not only hinders timely diagnosis and treatment but also highlights broader systemic issues affecting healthcare access in the region.People have highlighted the need for sustainable healthcare infrastructure and services to meet the local needs.
