ISLAMABAD: UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Alzaabi and officials of the embassy distributed Iftar meals packets among the people.
The police personnel on duty were also the “guests” of the embassy to whom the embassy offered Iftar meals.
The ambassador, disregarding protocol and security, presented the packets to the people in peculiar Arabic tradition.
Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi said, “The ‘Breaking the Fast’ initiative contributes to strengthening community cohesion and reflects feelings of familiarity, love and interconnectedness among everyone, and an embodiment of the concept of community brotherhood and reflects our originality, customs and values and aims to strengthen bridges of communication within the society.”
