‘Suthra Punjab’ campaign launched for welfare of masses: minister
HAFIZABAD: Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique has said that ‘Suthra Punjab’ campaign is a drive launched for the welfare of the masses.While inaugurating the cleanliness campaign at Model Village Peer Kot Saani under ‘Suthra Punjab’ camping, he said that the campaign was a historic and people’s welfare campaign for ensuring cleanliness in urban and rural areas of the province.
Zeeshan Rafique directed the officers of district administration and Local Government to prepare schedule and ensure cleanliness under the comprehensive plan. He also directed the officers to inspect cleanliness campaign and visit rural and urban areas for making the campaign result-oriented. Later, the minister visited Ramazan Bazaar, fair price shops and a utility store set up at Model Bazaar and reviewed prices, quality of essential commodities and other arrangements. He also checked process and record of distribution of ration bags at the doorstep of the poor people under Nigehban Ramazan Package.
Earlier, DC Sundas Irshad informed the minister in a meeting held to review progress on ‘Suthra Punjab’ camping that after launching the campaign in the district, improvement in cleanliness was seen and special teams consisting of citizens were constituted for making the campaign successful.
