MINGORA: Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Park Kijun has wrapped up his visit to the picturesque Swat Valley. During his two-day visit, the Korean envoy saw various scenic places in Mingora and other parts of the district.
He met government officials and others. Among them was Sardar Waqar Shahzad, a social activist and Commissioner of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association.The Korean envoy and Sardar Waqar discussed strengthening people-to-people contacts, educational scholarships, employment prospects, fostering business opportunities, banking collaborations and tourism initiatives. They emphasized the importance of forging stronger economic ties, particularly in the realms of trade and investment.
Both underscored the significance of educational exchange programmes and scholarships to empower youth and foster cultural understanding between Pakistan and South Korea. The initiatives were discussed aimed at promoting academic collaboration, providing scholarships to deserving and diverse students, and enhancing educational opportunities for the youth of both nations.
