Injured cop loses battle for life

PESHAWAR: A police official wounded in a recent attack in Peshawar lost the battle for life. Two policemen, Ajmal and Siraj, were martyred and an official Mazhar Khan was injured in the attack on a patrolling party in Michni Gate on Monday. The attackers had ambushed a police car with heavy fire and later set the vehicle on fire before fleeing the scene.

The wounded official, Assistant Sub-Inspector Mazhar Khan, was shifted to a hospital after the attack where he lost the battle for life late Wednesday night.His funeral prayer was offered at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Thursday.
