Punjab CM constitutes district monitoring body

TOBA TEK SINGH: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Tuesday constituted a two-member district monitoring committee for Toba to supervise and ensure public service delivery regarding Nigehban Ramazan Package distribution along with agricultural fair price shops and Suthra Punjab cleanliness campaign.

The members of the committee are PML-N MPAs from PP 121 and PP 122 Amjad Ali Javed and Col (retd) Sardar Ayub Gadhi, respectively.DPS AFFAIRS SLAMMED: District Bar Association president Mian Faisal Abwar Tuesday criticised the matters of Toba divisional public school being run under board of governors(BoG) headed by the Deputy Commissioner (DC).

Addressing a press conference, he alleged most of the members in school’s BoG had been inducted with government officers and the merit has completely been ignored.He said members were subordinate to the DC, who cannot disagree with the decisions made by him as he is the chairman of the BoG. He suggested that the parents of the students and the highly educated people of the city should be given representation in BoG.

He said for the new recruitment of teachers and other employees in the school, the merit list is made by the clerks of the institution, and the merit list is also never displayed. He said merit lists should be pasted outside the main gate of the institution to make the new recruitment process transparent.
