Raiwind throne is shaking: Bilawal
Says Panama Leaks has ‘leaked PML-N govt’; ‘Modi’s friend’
must step down; addresses election rally in Kotli
KOTLI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday said the Panama Leaks had ‘leaked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government’ as the Raiwind throne was shaking now.
He said that ‘Narendra Modi’s friend’ should tender his resignation. He said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) governemnt would not be able to complete its constitutional term as the days of the government had been numbered after the Panama Leaks.
“Mian sahib, you must step down as prime minister till the probe into the Panama Papers and then you can re-assume office after the completion of the investigation,” Bilawal said while addressing a public rally here ahead of elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Bilawal said that Kashmir is a symbol of struggle in the entire world. He dedicated the party’s rally to the martyrs of “terrorism carried out by the PML-N.” He said that he would ensure that the murderers with face justice. He said that peace in South Asia would ensure peace in the Middle East. He criticised the United Nations (UN) regarding its inability to solve the Kashmir issue by stating that the UN had passed resolutions regarding Kashmir but it had failed to implement those resolutions.
He further said that the global community had turned a blind eye towards the Kashmir issue and stated that unarmed Kashmiris and Palestinians were becoming subject to atrocities.
The PPP chairman during his address said that the PM had not condemned the violence that had been carried out in Kashmir and stated that the PPP endorsed the struggle of the Kashmiris. “Whenever I speak of the Kashmiris, the Modi government and the Indian media unlesh propaganda against me,” he said.
Bilawal demanded that the prime minister should resign, adding that PML-N’s days were numbered. He said that the party would no longer remain quiet on the Panama Leaks issue as the government would not be able to complete its constitutional term as it was going through a turbulent period and that the “Raiwind throne” seemed to be shaking. He further said that the wall of deception was about to fall and that PML-N’s demise would begin from Kashmir and would reach Pakistan.
He alleged that the funds of the Kashmir Council were being distributed among PML-N members by the authority seated in Islamabad and that fake voter lists were being produced by registering votes of non-Kashmiri people. Bilawal stated an “action replay” of the 2013 elections was to be witnessed in the current scenario as the PML-N was an expert in rigging. The PPP chairman said that the PM was doing business, not politics as he had become the prime minister of the country for the third time but had been unable to become a leader. He stated that the PM did not pay attention to education as it did not involve the use of steel through which he was able to make his own profits.
He said that the Orange Line Train project was the world’s most expensive project and compared the budget set for the project (Rs162 billion) with that of Kashmir’s annual budget (Rs68 billion). He added that the Pakistani government did not decrease oil prices whereas they were reduced around the world. He said that all the development done in Kashmir was during PPP’s tenure and stated that his party wanted to provide employment to the people and improve their living standards. He promised the Kashmiri people that whatever seemed a distant dream now would become a reality when the PPP came to power.
