SHEC holds training for university teachers at LUMHS
HYDERABAD: The Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) organised a training programme for faculty members of public universities in Sindh in collaboration with the Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro.
The programme was held at the LUMHS information technology department’s Video Conference Hall from March 1 till March 9.
Addressing the training participants, SHEC Chairman Prof Tariq Rafi and LUMHS Vice Chancellor Prof Ikram Din Ujjan said the main objective of the programme was to improve the faculty of public universities and develop their teaching skills.
Topics covered by experts in the training programme included policymaking, teaching methods, assessment of communication skills, educational technologies, research, student counselling, executive education, national professional standards for teachers, quality assurance and ethics.
The faculty members who received the training can conduct similar programmes in their respective institutions. At the end of the training programme, the participants were given certificates.
