IGP meets families of cops

IGP ordered AIG Admin and DPO Rajanpur to take action on request of Constable Muhammad Akbar's son for recruitment as junior clerk and clearance of arrears

LAHORE: The Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab Tuesday met cops and their families at the Central Police Office.

On the occasion, the IGP ordered the AIG Admin and the DPO Rajanpur to take action on the request of Constable Muhammad Akbar's son for recruitment as the junior clerk and clearance of arrears.

He asked the CTO Lahore to review the request of Dr Saim, a veterinarian of the Police Animal Rescue Centre, regarding her salary package. The IGP ordered the RPO Faisalabad to handle promotion issue of Jhang Police ASI Zafar Abbas.

The plea of female constable Ayesha Siddiqa for official residence was forwarded to the CCPO Lahore for action.

Over Rs50m spent on cops’ treatment

Police authorities have expended more than Rs50 million on the health welfare of cops so far this year. According to the office of the Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab, 670 officers and personnel were provided financial support for their medical treatment.
