HARIPUR: The police claimed to have arrested a woman and her two alleged accomplices for murdering a minor boy and throwing his body into a water well, police officials said on Tuesday.
The officials of the Ghazi Police Station said that Abdul Moeed, 8, a student of grade-III at the Government Primary School of Jhamra village, went to attend school at 8.30am on February 21 but failed to get back home.
The family searched for the missing boy but could not find any clue and informed the police.During the preliminary inquiry, the police obtained the CDR of the mobile calls of the boy’s paternal aunt (wife of paternal uncle) identified as Abida Shaheen of the same village and interrogated her for being a suspect.
According to police, the woman disclosed that she had strangled Abdul Moeed to death with the help of Waseem and Muhammad Akhtar and thrown his body into the water well of the village. After her confession, the police recovered the body of the boy and shifted it to Ghazi Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. A criminal case against the woman and her two alleged accomplices was registered under sections 201,202 and 302/34 of the PPC. The police arrested all the accused after registration of the FIR.The motive behind the murder of the minor boy was a property dispute.
