ISLAMABAD : Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi has spoken high of sculpturing art and handicraftsman of young artists from Pakistan. The ambassador has maintained that Pakistan has rich heritage and it is being preserved and protected in praiseworthy manner.
He expressed these views after inaugurating 10-day sculptures exhibition of more than 50 artists from all over the country at Lahore Museum Saturday.
A large number of people are taking interest in the exhibition, which was curated by restoration and exhibition officer of Lahore Museum Ms Arshia Sohail.
The UAE Ambassador witnessed the exhibition and took keen interest in the outstanding work of the artists. He hailed the role of Lahore Museum for promoting the sculpturing art. He said that the artists highlighted the different national and international issues through their work.
The ambassador announced that a pictorial exhibition of art and culture of the United Arab Emirates would be organised at Lahore Museum soon. The exhibition would help the people of Pakistan to have even better understanding of Emirate’s culture.
The deputy director Lahore Museum presented a souvenir to the ambassador.
He was impressed about the exhibition and opined that Pakistan should show the world this aspect of its life which is quite interesting.
