Distracted drivers

Many accidents nowadays are caused by distracted driving. One of the worst distractions is the mobile phone. Due to busy schedules and workloads, many people increasingly prefer to use mobile phones off and on while driving. This is hazardous behaviour because it raises the likelihood of serious accidents. Use of mobile phones during driving causes loss of focus and traffic awareness, which can ultimately cost lives.
Distracted drivers not only become a risk for themselves but everyone else on or near the roads. The traffic police alone cannot deal with this problem. Motorists need to take the initiative and follow common sense safety protocols.
