Four more MPAs join PMLN

LAHORE: Four more newly-elected members from Balochistan and Punjab assemblies have joined the PMLN.

PMLN sources said that two additional independent members of the Punjab Assembly Ahsan Raza Khan from PP-180 Kasur and Colonel (retired) Ghazanfar Qureshi from PP-128 Jhang IV have joned the PMLN.

Ahsan Raza Khan and Colonel (retired) Ghazanfar Qureshi met with PMLN Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz Tuesday who welcomed and congratulated them.

They said that they had decided to join the PMLN after consulting with the people and supporters of their constituencies.

During their conversation, Maryam Nawaz expressed that their support would steer the country from destruction towards development. She emphasised that the PMLN aimed to quell the chaos and guide the nation toward political and economic stability.

Furthermore, she highlighted that the PMLN had already devised a comprehensive strategy for Punjab’s development and to provide relief to the people. She pledged to continue the legacy of development, construction, and ensuring the happiness of the people of Punjab with renewed enthusiasm.

Ahsan Raza Khan and Colonel (retired) Ghazanfar Qureshi extended congratulations to Maryam Nawaz Sharif on her nomination as chief minister of Punjab.

In the meantime, Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan, who emerged victorious as independents from the Balochistan Assembly constituencies PB-41 and PB-51, respectively, joined the PMLN during a meeting with party President Shehbaz Sharif.

PMLN’s provincial president Jafar Khan Mandukhel and party leader Jamal Shah Kakar were also in attendance.

Shehbaz Sharif congratulated and welcomed Wali Muhammad and Abdul Khaliq Khan for joining the PMLN.

Shehbaz Sharif, while conversing with them, stressed that the development of Balochistan was a fundamental requirement for Pakistan’s progress. The newly-elected members also extended congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on his nomination as prime minister.
