11 stenographers promoted
LAHORE: Eleven senior scale stenographers of police department have been promoted as private secretaries on Tuesday.
IG Punjab while addressing a ceremony held in honour of the promoted officers at the Central Police Office, said that further promotions will be ensured as per rules and regulations on the vacant seats of senior scale stenographers. Among the promoted officials are
Tanveer Ahmad Nadeem, Ghulam Farid, M Salim Toor, M Aslam, Adeel Akhtar, Iftikhar Hussain, Faisal Shabbir, M Aslam Sethi, M Aslam, M Farid Ch and Mirza Javed Iqbal.
New PT shoes, water dispensers approved
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has approved the purchase of new PT shoes and water dispensers for the police force. The spokesperson of Punjab Police said that a contract was given to a private company for the purchase of new PT shoes of the police force and it was approved to buy 8,000 new pairs of PT shoes at the rate of Rs2,080 per pair. Rs16,640,000 will be paid for the purchase of PT shows. He said that 17 units of water dispensers are being purchased at the rate of 48,000 per unit. Rs816,000 have been released for purchasing water dispensers.
Cop honoured
Punjab Police's private secretary Jameel Butt, serving in the Central Police Office has retired from the post on completion of his departmental service. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presented an honorary shield to him at a ceremony held at the Central Police Office.
