ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given clean chit to Umar Akmal for his alleged involvement in a brawl during his recent visit to a theatre in Faisalabad.
Reports emerging from Faisalabad said that Umar not only had used foul language in the theatre but had also fought.
“There are no sufficient evidence to implicate Umar in this case. We have gathered all related evidence and nothing has been proved against him,” one of the PCB officials told ‘The News’.
He said there was no need for disciplinary action against Umar. “He had just gone to the theatre with other cricketers to watch a drama. His colleagues also said no incident of such nature occurred there,” he said.
