Excelling public prosecutors awarded

PESHAWAR: The excelling public prosecutors were awarded at a special ceremony arranged here on Tuesday.

Director General of Prosecution Department, government of KP, Mian Muhammad, was the chief guest. Director Monitoring Attiqur Rehman was present on the occasion as well.

Prosecutors Officers Welfare Association President and District Prosecutor Malakand, Sangeen Khan, was among recipients of the awards.

Those awarded included for performance during 2023 included Sangeen Shah, Fazale Maabood, Muhammad Ayub, Umar Niaz, Zafrullah, Attaur Rehman, Asad Noor, Manzoor Hussain, Raza Khan, Uzma Nasir, Andaleeb Shabeer, Huma Malik, Nabila Gul and Shehzadi Noor.

Director General of Prosecution Department Mian Muhammad said the Prosecution Department had a very important role in the judicial system.

“This department is meant to provide relief to the victim and ensure dispensation of justice,” he said, advising the prosecutors to use all energies to ensure provision of justice to the oppressed section of the society.
