Two hurt in Bannu blast near PTI leader’s house

BANNU: Two persons were injured in a blast on Sunday near the house of a former provincial minister and candidate for PK-101 Malik Shah Mohammad Khan belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The sources said the blast was caused by explosives planted in a motorcycle parked near the residence of the candidate. The officials of the police, bomb disposal unit and Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot after the blast and transported the two injured to the District Headquarters Hospital. Malik Shah Mohammad was not present at home when the blast took place.
The police and the officials of the bomb disposal unit cordoned off the area and collective pieces of evidence. The police also sealed the roads leading to the residence of the former provincial minister. A heavy contingent of the police also arrived at the spot and conducted a search operation. However, no arrests were made.
