LONDON: British Defence Minister Grant Shapps on Sunday said the UK remained “undaunted” after Huthi rebels attempted to attack a navy ship in the Red Sea.
“Yesterday (Saturday) HMS Diamond successfully repelled a drone attack from the Iranian-backed Huthis in the Red Sea,” Shapps said on X, calling the ongoing attacks “intolerable and illegal”.
“Deploying her Sea Viper missile system, Diamond destroyed a drone targeting her,” he said.
Washington has also carried out a series of unilateral air raids, but the Huthis have vowed to continue their attacks.
