PPP govt to focus on Balochistan’s development: Zardari
PPP understands the problems of Balochistan: says Zardari
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari has pledged that the upcoming PPP government will address the problems faced by the people of Balochistan and focus on their development and progress.
“The PPP has fulfilled whatever promises it has made,” he said while addressing a gathering in Dera Bugti by telephone on Tuesday. Zardari was scheduled to address a rally at Dera Bugti but was unable to reach there due to bad weather therefore he made a telephonic address.
Zardari said the PPP understands the problems of Balochistan. He said whether it is the problem of hospitals or non-availability of gas in Balochistan, the PPP government will solve them all, adding that the incoming PPP government would take steps to pave the way for employment and income opportunities for people of the province.
A large number of tribals from far-flung areas of Dera Bugti and surroundings attended the public meeting.
Meanwhile, addressing a public meeting, former caretaker federal interior minister and PPP leader Sarfraz Bugti said that the PPP would form the government in Balochistan by securing a clear majority in the Feb 8 general elections.
He said the PPP has always raised the voice for the rights and betterment of the poor and farmers.
