PESHAWAR: Caretaker Minister to Information and Public Relations Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel visited the shrine of the Kargil War hero Capt Karnel Sher Khan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) on Sunday.
During the visit, the minister laid floral wreaths, recited fatiha, and documented his reflections in a book. “Captain Sher Khan Shaheed is the pride of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the only son who courageously earned Nishan-e-Haider. The foundations of our nation have been fortified by the blood of these heroes,” he said.
Highlighting the defense of Pakistan owing to the sacrifices of its soldiers and officers, Barrister Feroze Jamal said the survival and development of the country were indebted to the blood of our martyrs, adding that every Pakistani, irrespective of religion, colour, race, or political affiliation, had a duty to honour these brave souls.
He commended the reconstruction work at the shrine and lauded the efforts of Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Hasan Azhar Hayat. He announced the government’s commitment to sending the brother of the martyr to Saudi Arabia at the government’s expense to perform Hajj in honour of the fallen hero.
